The taste and flavors of Maremma

The wines of Cacciagrande

Our wines

VERMENTINO / VIOGNIER / SANGIOVESE, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, MERLOT / SYRAH / PETIT VERDOT

The Cacciagrande Winery is nestled in the Mediterranean hills of the Tuscan Maremma, just 10 km from Castiglione della Pescaia. Of its 40 hectares, 18 are vineyards and 4 are olive groves. The rest blends seamlessly with the surrounding woodland, maintaining a biological balance that enhances the quality of its wines.

"The earth changes every day. Making wine means studying to follow its evolution and working to create something extraordinary".

Vermentino

D.O.C. MAREMMA TOSCANA

A grape variety that has found its ideal home on the Tuscan coast. The proximity to the sea gives this wine a savory and refreshing character. Easy-drinking and dynamic, the Cacciagrande Vermentino delights the palate with its persistent notes of fresh, tangy fruits like green apple, hints of aromatic herbs, and citrus undertones. It’s perfect for a light dinner or a cool summer evening.

Viognier

D.O.C. MAREMMA TOSCANA BIANCO

We planted this grape variety in the early 2000s, bringing it to Tuscany almost as pioneers. We were confident that our land could also produce intense and structured whites, and time has proven us right. Viognier is a sumptuous wine, surprising with its exotic fruit notes and remarkable depth.

Maremma

D.O.C. MAREMMA TOSCANA ROSSO

Our take on the classic Tuscan blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is fresh and easy-drinking, with persistent notes of red fruits. A “red reflection” of our Vermentino, it is dynamic and light, perfect for pairing with light meat dishes or flavorful fish courses.

Cortigliano

D.O.C. MAREMMA TOSCANA SYRAH

A wine that combines the complexity of classic Syrah with the varietal richness of lighter grapes: thanks to its brief passage in oak barrels, it gains complexity without becoming heavy, along with meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar. Elegant and versatile, it pairs well with both light dishes and more substantial meat courses.

Castiglione

I.G.T. MAREMMA TOSCANA PETIT VERDOT

An intuition that has brought fortune to Cacciagrande: we were among the first to  plant this sought-after and challenging grape variety in Tuscany, and above all to vinify it in purity. The Maremma terroir perfectly suits its needs, providing a warmer and more welcoming climate than its original transalpine land. Elegant and powerful, it boasts a complex bouquet that pairs well with elaborate meats and hearty dishes.
